subject: Overview of a School Discipline a Student Must Learn [print this page]

Mathematics is one of the disciplines taught both in high school and in college. It is one of the disciplines present on the SAT as one tries to enter a university. Many students choose Math as their career studying many subjects concerning it like teaching, scientific research, technology and engineering.

Making a brief review one could say that math embodies the following units:

1.Generally it includes various spheres such as Geometry, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Topology and many others. Quantity in this case is the study of natural numbers, integers, rational numbers and complex numbers.

2.Many people start their career by working in sales. Math contributes pretty much to their effort and efficiency of their work. So the structure that deals mainly with combinations, number theory, group theory, graph theory and order theory contributes very much to a personal success.

3.Space is the next one. Basically space concerns geometry, trigonometry, differential geometry, topology, fractal geometry and measure theory. Having learned these subjects thoroughly an individual may try teaching them on a college or a high school level.

4.Change is among natural science and calculus that are both powerful tools in mathematics. Many mathematical problems are studied on this department as different equations. Several phenomenon of nature are described as dynamical systems and chaos theory.

5.Teaching mathematics on the college level one should say that pretty often professors cover philosophy of Math dealing with Mathematical Logic, Set theory, Category theory as its divisions. The subjects may appear quite interesting in their way to certain people to regard teaching them on the same level once they've graduated from a university.

However these subjects are being taught and closely examined on a further level of learning it. Basic studies do not include them in the list of their preferences and desired fields of knowledge.
