The Nobel price provides great opportunities for potential scholars to invest money in their talents and future invention. The awards can be granted in various fields of science and technology. Therefore, the process of awarding has certain stages that should be strictly observed. So, in case you want to be considered for the Nobel price, you will have to pass those requirements. What does the award process involve? 1. Nominations The application forms should be sent by the Nobel Committee to more than 3000 persons. This procedure is usually held in September, the year before the award is presented. These nominated individuals are often scholars exploring a particular area. In case it is the Peace Prize, the Committee sent the Nobel forms to representatives of international court, governmental officials, or professors and rectors from universities. Among the presented nominates, about 300 laureates will be sorted out of these forms until January 31. 2. Selection Once all nominations have been considered, the Committee should prepare a report on the basis the experts' advice and notes. The list of potential candidates, along the above-stated report should be submitted to specialized institutions for the purpose of choosing candidates in a relevant field of study. The nominees cannot be announced publically nor cannot they be told that they have been chosen for the nomination. 3. Posthumous nominations Those individuals who died after having been nominated but before the committee's decision to grant, this prize have the right to be received a posthumous award. 4. Recognition of the time lag Some of the recent discoveries that were nominated in the course of the last year might be discredited. To avoid this problem, the nominations are given to the candidates that have managed to present invention within the nominating year.
