No Gift Is Better
No Gift Is Better
BY Michael R. Sears

Her soft brown hair of silk so long
Her smooth pure skin to touch
Those lovely breasts to cover
Upon my chest upon my pulsing heart
With love to hold all the days and nights
A gift from God to man you see
No gift is better if love is the fetter
That binds our hearts together
The smell of her hair and skin
Flowing hair so long and clean
I take her with my eyes and delight
In knowing she is mine
A creature from heaven so divine
A gift from God to man you see
No gift is better if love is the fetter
That binds our hearts together
Why should I be so blessed?
To hold her in dance within my arms
And feel the power of her charms
What fulfillment in nature's scheme
Is more like a wonderful dream
A gift from God to man you see
No gift is better if love is the fetter
That binds our hearts together
And now I take her as my wife
To have to hold to trust my life
Within her arms between her breasts
With children we call our own
Conceived in love from God above
A gift from God to man you see
No gift is better if love is the fetter
That binds our hearts together
And now the years have passed
Good times and bad have gone
Now 41 years married and many grandkids later
I still love her the same as once I did
When we were young; those pictures sure seem strange
As you look at your youth and wonder where it went,
You realize that great and cherished gift from God
A faithful wife with fruit to bear
To love you all your days with care
We each trusted our hearts to the other
Without regrets and with much fulfillment
Rich with much more than money
And yes, I still call her honey and dance with delight
And hold her in my arms and feel no lonely night
We both know Christ and Christians we are
And are ready to face each day together
As many as the Lord sees fit to give us
A gift from God to man you see
No gift is better if love is the fetter
That binds our hearts together
No Gift Is Better
