I started playing in multiplayer matches shortly after I bought the game awhile ago. At first everything seemed pretty easy. In the practice round I probably won about 75% of the games that I played.
However, when I left the practice league things changed for the worst. My stats flipped and I started losing over 75% of the games I played. Everything I tried just didn't work. I'd play 10 games with Terran and would lose most of them. I'd switch races the next day, and the story would repeat itself. I was just about to take my game disc and chuck it out the window when I came across something that changed it all.
My friend, who also plays Starcraft 2, sent me an email on that day and I took the time to read it. He talked about a course called Shokz - a course that I had seen advertised in a few forums, but never took the time to actually look at it.
After reading the sales page for the Shokz guide I figured I would give it a go. I bought the guide and read through a couple of the strategies. One in particular involving Terran stuck out at me and I immediately jumped into a multiplayer match to try it out.
That game was interesting because I was really doubtful that it was going to work. I actually strayed from the strategy a little because I didn't think it would work. Amazingly enough, I won that game. As I was looking at the stats screen after the game had ended, it was like a light bulb had flicked on in my brain.
I played about 5 other matches that night and I won all but one match. I didn't let that get me down though. After work the next day, I played a few more matches and won every single one.
From then on, I have about a 80% win rate and I'm getting better by fine tuning my strategies.
And if I had to tell you what my reasons for winning were I would say motivation or focus and more importantly effective strategies from the Shokz guide.
