#1 - Find a mentor. This is hugely important. I tried for 9 years to make it on my own and it's only after I found myself a mentor that is willing to teach me the secrets of their success that I am successful myself. Stop trying to do it alone! Search online for someone that gives away valuable information for free either through their blog or mailing list. Email them, let them know that you are ready to learn from them, take their advice. For the best results, consider joining their team to get the most support and advice from them. They won't have time for everyone that needs help, so their main focus will be on their team members.
#2 - Learn about Attraction Marketing. There are thousands of other people selling YOUR product. There are thousands of other people promoting YOUR business opportunity. The only thing that you've got that is unique is YOU. Learn how to magnetically attract people to you and you will have leads that are EXCITED to hear from you and eager to join. #3 - Set up a good sales funnel. You can see my recent post on this - The Best MLM Leads Are FREE. You need to focus your time on actually prospecting, connecting with your leads, getting people into your business and marketing your website. Don't waste your time doing this yourself when you can get a better job done for less than $50 a month. And lets face it, a professional, automated system is going to make you a LOT more money than something you make yourself.
#4 - Pick up the damn phone! Sorry to shout, but really it's not that hard. Especially when you have a mentor to teach you how to prospect properly. Connect with your leads, find out what they NEED, why they are looking for, LISTEN. Then offer them your business opportunity in a way that they can't refuse, because you show them how it will solve their problems. Learn from your mentor how to handle objections properly. If you don't have a phone number for your prospect, put their email address into Facebook and connect with them their. Be sure to send them a personal message with your friend request.
#5 - Make money! It may seem obvious but so many network marketers go out there trying to make money just from selling their product and sponsoring reps. They soon run out of money to fund their marketing efforts (if you are still buying leads -read this) because 97% of your leads will say NO to your primary business.
You NEED to be profiting off this 97% or you will FAIL.
