As if films themselves weren't enough to make us scared of our own shadows and scream at our own reflections, when strange and terrifying things were occurring off screen too. Various curses, rumours and myths fill the town of Hollywood and its cinematic creations. Stories of so many films are scarred with shock, frights and even blood.
The land of make believe has certainly had its share of very real death over the years which has led to many believing that real curses exist, and many of them are connected to some of Hollywood's finest productions. Fan of film or not, these 'goings on' and mishaps that have occurred certainly spark conversation and draw intrigue, plus it's a much more interesting topic than whose colons getting bleached this week!
Hocus Pocus:
The old one's always seem to be the best, this is generally down to the fact that hoaxes nowadays are swiftly disregarded and technology helps us see through the lies. Back in the day you could have convinced the world moon was made from cheese with little proof than owning a block of cheese. The disadvantage of been able to check up these myths because the source of the it tends to be dead, means that we can only speculate which only fuels imagination which as a result claims followers and believers.
Debunking has become a popular past-time for many these days but there are many people out there, myself included, who aren't looking for faults in these classic tales instead we are hoping to one day find one that is true, and a currently rubbishing the pretenders.
Spooky Stuff:
As the endless search continues I think it will become less likely to view any footage that proves the existence of extra terrestrials or life after death, personal experiences would seem the only way to prove to an individual that such things exist. Even if you're personal experience is the most telling of truths most accounts tend to be faulty, fabricated or a case of missing identity due to an instance where one's mind plays tricks.
The Glitterati:
The rock and roll lifestyle goes hand in hand with some of the world's wackiest stories, some real but many fake! So how do you sniff out the Nirvanas from the Led Zeppelins and get the true stories instead of the over exaggerated Chinese whisper versions?
