subject: Elementary Faith Study Number Two - Purpose [print this page]

Without a sense of purpose, why would anyone have faith unless it would be for speculative purposes either to prove or to disprove its existence and value, or to become more familiar with its inner workings, or to understand how and why to recognize it?

Everyone, knowingly or unknowingly, wittingly or unwittingly, admitting or denying, the existence of faith actually, has an acquired innate faith within them that either grows daily or diminishes in potency without their ever having been aware of or cultivating its existence; the beginnings of faith. One of the first tests of faith for those who are of the age of reason is, am I conscious and alive, am I breathing and feeling, thinking and moving; have I my eyes open to the morning and have I a reasonable belief that tonight when I close my eyes to sleep that the process of awakening will repeat again so I may greet the day?

Now the person who becomes aware of that newly found little seed of faith that they did not acquire by any self-means, will begin to understand the importance of listening and nurturing its positive attributes in all areas of their lives and as a child without any preconceived or learned prejudiced ideas and opinions, or even wrongly held facts and opinions will immediately believe in its existence.

Once the existence of faith in persons is recognized and acknowledged, the real work of faith begins for those astute enough to realize that the forces at work in the world and within certain individuals operating within that world are adamantly against faith of any kind; faith in God, faith in self, faith in others, and that they also are subject to these forces within themselves. They will hold that science, self-will, and/or systems, rule and cause the world to be and to evolve, citing examples and laws and principals, all the while attempting to confound and confuse by their very actions of directly opposing and rejecting their own postulates.

Now, with this said, it's good to have a healthy sense of faith in God, faith in self, and faith in others as well as having a good and factual knowledge of science, the will, and systems of the world, especially history and how man refuses to learn from it. It is also good to know the capricious nature of humanity as a whole, and especially of the self; therefore, guard your inner faith wisely which is a gift and believe that God has given to you your faith and sustains the world and the universe of universes without any assistance from man.

Have a healthy pride for your talents, cultivate and improve on them, giving pleasure and goodness to humanity and to self as a whole while realizing the true dispenser of this faith; God. Keep dear within your mind and heart and spirit the power of the gospel; lan for the spirit of faith, truth, and justice; and equality of the brilliance of the purpose of faith of your eternal soul.
