With how the recent economic recession, everyone is looking for cheaper alternatives to their daily lives. Previously, people were confident that their cash flow would keep coming in at a constant rate. This meant that spending money would not be too much of an issue as there would be money to replace the finishing sources. However, things changed. People lost jobs, and wages decreased. While things change a lot, there are some alternatives to doing addictive things the cheaper way.

Instead of satisfying your cravings at any time of the day, set a day of the week where you are allowed to satisfy one craving of the week, as cravings can be expensive to fulfill at every urge. Treat that one day as a reward for your perseverance. You may find that the food tastes much better when you put your effort onto it. Try not to go for their food samplings if available although it is free, as you may just end up breaking your hard work and buying the food.

For those who are obsessed with club sports that require entrance fees, try playing something similar to it. For example, if you need to pay for a swim at a club, go to a friend or relative's apartment where you can swim for free instead. At the same time, you can spend time with them.

For the computer game addicts, instead of spending on money to buy the latest technology to play games, or to buy the latest games itself, you can always opt for free online games. There is a vast collection of online games that it is easy to lose count of them. As free online games are designed to be short, you do not end up using much time and electricity at the computer, unlike installed computer games.
