subject: Drew Carey Makes Slimmer Satellite Tv Debut [print this page]

Fans from California to Massachusetts, and of course in places like Cleveland, Ohio have followed the career of a funny, young and chubby comedian from his days on The Drew Carey Show to his days as, well Drew Carey. Theres nothing like using your own name to make a name for yourself, and Drew Carey has done exactly that. Without too much fanfare this funnyman snuck his way into the role of TVs top host, and has filled the role of host and emcee for programs ranging from Whose Line is it Anyway? to The Price is Right. Of course, a recent diss by Bob Barker about Careys apparently lame sense of excitement on the new version of the post-Bob program, may have some wondering if Carey is really all hes cracked up to be, but at least for now television producers seem to like him just fine.

While his size may have been part of the source of his comedy on The Drew Carey Show, this overweight actor decided his career wasnt worth hanging onto the weight, and has slimmed down considerably for the upcoming fall season of The Price is Right. Not just one or two, but nearly 80 pounds down from before, his motives were not merely aesthetic, although its always nice to appear slimmer when being projected on high definition televisions. In fact, Carey was a Type-2 diabetic, and for health reasons was looking at slimming down, or else there mightve been dire consequences. Now, instead of serving as a television inspiration, he might serve as an inspiration to the hundreds of thousands of Americans looking to make a change in their weights too.

Not only due to the images seen on satellite TV, but the health concerns surrounding obesity in America, many people are desperate to get in shape. According to Carey he followed a natural diet, low in carbs and high in vegetables, egg whites, fruit, grilled chicken and Greek yogurt, along with hitting the gym up to six times a week. Apparently it worked since his diabetes has disappeared, allowing him to get off of his diabetes medicine. Such a lifestyle change for the better is one that many people only aspire to, but now they have a source of proof that it can be done, even after years of being publically overweight. The world, however, has yet to see if he can keep it off!

Those looking to catch any of Drew Careys programs and to watch him show off his new look have their choice of satellite TV channels. There are a number of current programs and reruns in which he appears that constantly rank amongst the most-watched programs in the nation. Unlike many entertainers that maintain unhealthy lifestyles for the sake of their ratings, it is likely Carey will be applauded for taking initiative and doing the right thing, even without a boot camp workout program like The Biggest Loser backing him up! Catch his new slim look or simply play along with new The Price is Right episodes coming up this fall from Massachusetts to California, and of course in Ohio too!
