subject: Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Avoid the 2010 Seasonal Flu Vaccine [print this page]

The flu season is almost upon us and it's time to be scared - but not because of the flu. It's the seasonal flu vaccine you should be worried about, because the flu shot is more dangerous than the flu itself!

Year after year, the flu season has become a vicious cycle involving Big Pharma (big pharmaceutical companies), the health authorities, your doctor, and the public. Big Pharma makes the seasonal flu vaccine, the health authorities promote it, and your doctor tells you to take a shot.

If you're considering getting a flu shot for the 2010 flu season, here are five major reasons why it is not in your best interest to do so:

1. This season's flu is just another flu. It may be deadly for those who already have very weak immune systems but it is not the merciless killer that Big Pharma and the media often portray it to be. Data from the CDC showed that in week 34 ending August 29, 2009, there were 236 hospitalizations and 37 deaths related to the flu in children. That represents just 5 children in the hospital and less than one death per state, and those are not epidemic numbers.

2. The current version of the flu shot is a combination of the regular flu vaccine and the swine flu vaccine. The swine flu scare turned out to be a dud but Big Pharma still wants you to take the swine flu vaccine by adding it to this year's regular flu shot. Australia suspended the use of the new flu shot containing swine flu components in children under the age of five because many kids suffered from high fever, vomiting, and febrile convulsions.

A special government investigation that looked at last year's swine flu vaccine revealed that it may increase the risk of conditions like Guillain-Barre syndrome, a paralyzing autoimmune disorder; thrombocytopenia, an autoimmune blood disorder wherein your blood cannot produce enough platelets; and Bell's palsy, a neuroimmune reaction that causes facial paralysis.

3. The seasonal flu vaccine is ineffective and may even increase your risk of catching the flu. Many people go down with the flu shortly after receiving a flu shot because the seasonal flu vaccine actually weakens your immune system, making you more predisposed to influenza.

Data from the CDC showed that among 1148 seasonal influenza flu virus strains from the U.S. and other countries, 1143 (99.6 percent) are now resistant to Tamiflu (oseltamivir), making it virtually worthless.

4. Children are overvaccinated. American kids in particular, can receive 49 doses of 14 vaccines. Modern medicine cannot explain why there's an explosion of diseases like autism. Vaccines contain adjuvants - additives that boost the production of antibodies, such as mercury, aluminum, and lead, all of which can affect your child's development.

Health authorities even want to pregnant women to take the seasonal flu vaccine. A study showed that exposing expecting mothers to flu viruses trigger a gene expression pattern in the fetus similar to that seen in autistic children.

5. Taking control of your health is the best defense against the flu and other common diseases. Leading a healthy lifestyle by eating right, getting regular exercise and adequate sleep, and managing your stress levels help boost your immune system - your body's natural defense against the flu. Avoid sugar since it decreases your immune function almost immediately. Since the flu is a communicable disease, be sure to keep your hands clean all the time to decrease the likelihood of spreading a virus to your nose, mouth, or other people.
