Are you headed to the south anytime soon? If you are, one place you must put on your agenda is San Antonio, Texas!

This southern city is full of so many great attractions. It is especially a great place for families.

From museums, to historical sites, to amusement parks, San Antonio has it all. You and your family are sure to have an enjoyable time.

One of the most popular sites in San Antonio is The Alamo. Over 2 million visitors stop at this site each year.

Most visitors come to see the mission where a small group of Texans held out for thirteen days against a Centralist Army. It stands as a symbol of courage and liberty.

Another very popular spot in all of Texas is the San Antonio River Walk. Along the River Walk are many attractions, restaurants, and shopping.

It is a great place to spend the day. As for attractions the kids will love, here is a long list of them!

First stop is Dinosaur Quest. At this museum visitors will see life-size dinosaur skeletons and will learn a lot in the interactive exhibits.

Green Acres Golf and Games is a fun amusement park with mini golf, go karts, bumper boats, and batting cages. For children, the Kiddie Park is a great spot for them.

This park is full of rides geared towards younger ages including a merry go round, a small ferris wheel and some roller coasters. If you're looking for a large amusement park, check out Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

Here you will find awesome roller coasters, great shows, and a water park. Wonder World Park is a different kind of theme park in the area.

This park allows visitors to tour an earthquake cave, ride a train to the wildlife park, and hang out in the anti-gravity house. It is sure to be a unique experience for all ages.

If you are looking for a place to cool off, check out Splashtown. This park also features entertainment and rides.

One last water park is Schitterbahn Water Park Resort. This huge water park has over 3 miles of tubing adventures, seventeen waterslides, seven different children's playgrounds, and a surfing machine.

It is a great place for the whole family to cool off during the warm months. Another very popular attraction in San Antonio is Sea World.

This marine life adventure park is a lot of fun. View marine life, watch spectacular shows, and even ride some roller coasters.

A few of the most popular shows include Shamu, the killer whale, a dolphin show, and a sea lion show. Also in the park are restaurants and a water park.

Sea World is definitely a stop you do not want to miss. If you loved seeing the marine life at Sea World, you may also enjoy the animals at the San Antonio Zoo.

This zoo is home to over 3500 animals and is situated on 56 acres. All ages will love visiting this attraction.

A few other good family attractions include Laser Quest, Malibu Castle, and Morgan's Wonderland. If you love learning new things, you may find interest in one of San Antonio's museums.

The Witte Museum will teach you all about South Texas' history and culture. The Buckhorn Museum & the Texas Ranger Museum will also teach you about the history of Texas with a cowboy feel.

View the unique horn collection and the cowboy memorabilia. The whole family will love the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum.

Many of the exhibits are surprising and may even be hard to believe. There is also a wax museum near Ripley's where you can see some of your favorite well-known personalities as wax figures.

One last museum is great for kids, the Children's Museum. This museum provides hands-on experiences and interactive exhibits.

It is great for children ages 10 and under. If you love the outdoors you might want to make your way to the Natural Bridge Caverns.

See natural beauty in an underground world. Once you are done with that head over to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch.

This ranch covers 400 acres and features over 500 animals including animals native to Texas and exotic animals. One last spot to check out is the Tower of Americas.

This is a great spot for an amazing view of the city. There is so much to do in the Lone Star State, you are sure to have a fun trip!
