Ovulation In Relation To Your Menstrual Cycle: Many women ovulate mid way through their menstrual cycle. So, if you are extremely regular and have a 28 day cycle,the egg's releasewould occur somewhere around day 14. But, this is not always the case for all women. In fact, it's very common to vary somewhat from month to month. This is why I really prefer to use predictors that measure your bodily fluids (saliva, blood, or urine) to tell you when the hormonal changes occur that give you some warning.
From my own experience, a saliva kit showed me that I was actually ovulating very late in my cycle sometimes as late as day 23, but I've had readers tell me that theybecome readyas early as day 10. So, it's very important that you find your own unique cycle and you understand that what happens one month may not be a carbon copy of what happened the previous month.
The Best Way To Pinpoint Your Ideal Conception Day If You Want To Conceive A Girl: Hopefully, I've already established that you're aiming for three days before the egg's actual release. Determining that day before it actually happens can be a challenge. If you are using a urine predictor, you'll sometimes get a faint, light line before the darker, positive line occurs. Begin trying to conceive once you see this faint line.
Or, if you've been testing regularly, you'll often see some sort of pattern as to how the line looks before your actualtarget day. And, if it is occurring on the same day every month, then you can be pretty confident that you can begin trying three days before that re occurring day andhit the window with a decentdegree of accuracy.
Alternatively, if you're using a saliva kit, most of these will come with a littleexample bookletthat will show you examples of not only how the slide will look on the actual day the egg is released, but also how the slide should look up to seven days out. Just follow the booklet until you get to the picture that demonstrates three days before. You'll become a pro at this in a very short time, no matter which method you chose.
An Actual Example: So, I'll use myself as an example of picking the right day. Let's say that the last day of my menstrual cycle was on March 31st. I would begin testing my saliva around April 9th just to be sure that I was starting early enough. Knowing myself, I suspect that I would not begin to see changes in the screen until around April 19th or so. And, I probably wouldn't get close to the "three days before" picture until around April 21st or 22nd, but during this 5 day period, I'd be testing myself several times per day. Once I was sure I was in that three day window, I would begin trying to conceive.
However, I would not stop there. I would continue to test because I still need to know the exact day that my eggis released. Once I get this positive, I would stop having intercourse because bythen, the windowwould haveclosed and if I went past it, I would increase my odds of having a boy.
