subject: Keyloggers - Detecting Dangerous Computer Activity [print this page]

Are you suspicious that there is someone who is using the computer with bad intents. Sadly many people right within the close confines of a family have gotten themselves into big trouble. The internet along with a computer being used with no one around to supervise can be a dangerous thing.

Imagine a world where talking to a stranger who can remain completely anonymous is just a click away. You really don't have to imagine that because it exists. The internet with its many uses has many dangers connected with it. It would be unwise to think that leaving the computer unsupervised is done for the sake of trust. The problem is not our family that we have trust issues with it really is the rest of the world that we do not trust.

Keylogger software is a solution to this issue. With a keylogger you are able to track the activity of other computer users without their knowledge of it. Only the one who installs the keylogger software can enable or disable it. They are also the only ones who have access to the data file it produces which reports computer activity.

Like anti-virus software a keylogger has become necessary to ensure computer users are not being infected by dangerous material. Sadly the internet is full of hate material and propaganda, predators praying on children and even those who would fake their gender identity to have a romantic conversation with someone of the same gender. It's scary what is out there.

However you can take the necessary precautions to safeguard your family and being on the watch for dangerous computer activity and content by securing your computer with a keylogger.
