subject: Tips To Combat Tiredness [print this page]

In order to effectively combat tiredness and fatigue you need to change several aspects of your lifestyle. Don't worry, you will probably not need to make drastic changes to feel a real difference in your energy levels and degree of fatigue.

Here are some changes you should make in your lifestyle in order to combat tiredness:

Most of the times when you are tired but busy you do not feel that you have the time to relax. You simply have too much to do. But, if you were to allow yourself just a short time in which to recharge your batteries you are likely to find that you get a lot more done in a short time when functioning on full power than you would in a longer time spent at half power. Not only that, it would definitely be a whole lot more enjoyable.

Another way to combat tiredness is to change your lifestyle. It is best to have a healthy lifestyle and get rid of your unhealthy habits. Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol. Eat a well balanced diet, engage in physical activities and have a good night sleep. Learn to relax and manage your stress. If you are healthy and practicing healthy habits, you will be more energetic and you can combat tiredness and fatigue.

If you stay in a confined room which is severely deprived of fresh air, then you may get sick. Open the window and let fresh air come into the room.

If that is not possible, then take frequent short breaks of going into the open and take deep breaths to rejuvenate your body. Fresh air, specially early in the mornings can really improve energy levels. At the same time, it is good for our health.

Physical activity. Physically active people are less likely to suffer from chronic tiredness than sedentary people. Exercise and sports activities promote good oxygen and blood circulation making your body healthy and more energetic. Physical activity is a good way to release stress and combat sleepiness and tiredness.

The power boost is very effective. Here is how it works. You lay down or put your head in your arms for 10 minutes. This helps relax the body. After 10 minutes get up and walk or do some other exercise for 10 minutes. The competition will get your engine up revving and reduce your tiredness.

Got more time? Rest for 20 and then exercise for 10 or 20. Caution. You do not want to sleep more than 40 minutes when napping. You will enter your deep sleep and find it very hard to get up.
