subject: Games To Teach Kids About Money - Some Ideas [print this page]

When we start teaching money to children, it is something they will be able to take away and use to their benefit for the rest of their lives. The everyday things we do such as driving a car, turning the lights on, even watching the TV costs money. That is the reason to start teach money to children early so they will be able to develop an idea of how money can assist them later on.

The whole world is a kid's playground, they will learn something new every day as they play. Parents can think carefully about the best games to teach kids about money. Children love to play games and if you can make them love learning about this topic with fun and excitement, it will help them in the long-run.

Teaching money to children can be a fun activity that you can share with your child. Thinking of games to teach kids about money can be bought at shops or you can even just make them up. You can even participate in the games and provide financial guidance as they are on this journey. Below are some games that you can use to for teaching money to children.

Monopoly - this is the easiest game that you can get a hold of. This will teach children about money more than what you can teach them even! It will educate your children in savings, real estate or interest s ratas well. I highly recommend to this game to start off with.

Cashflow - This is the game by Robert Kiyosaki. This will basically teach everyone, not just children, how money works and how to get out off the rat race.

Game of Life - I used to love playing this as a kid. The players take turns spinning a wheel and you landing on different phases in people's lives such as buying a house, getting an education and learning how to use and count money.

Above are just some examples of games to teach kids about money. Remember kids love having fun, so make it as fun and enjoyable as possible, otherwise they may start resenting how money works and their interest begins to decline.
