This can be called the first reduction on the oil prices since July. But the domestic sector of the airways is adamant and has no plans to reduce the prices and offer any sort of cheap fares for the public, even the ATF rates have also reduced. Every Indian metropolitan city has witnessed the reduction in the oil prices but nowhere the boards of cheap fares as such.
Several justifications are thus put forward by the aviation sector as a whole that they has just recovered from the same and thus it is not feasible for them to pass on the reduced ATF rates to the consumers and offer the cheap airlines. Many of the airlines had not increased the rates even at the time of the fuel price hike and the public cant demand of the cheap fares from such airlines as they were far mar more concerned about the customers even during the worst conditions. The sector as a whole can be justified generally and the public too should try to understand the situation and should act diplomatically rather than making a mess queuing up on demanding the cheap fares.
