subject: Choose Ahead, Plan Ahead, Go Ahead [print this page]

Whether you like to hike high or to tan low, no summer should pass without making the most of it. Most people plan their summer several months ahead, researching on the Internet for travel websites, looking for the best deals and the most relaxing ways of washing the tension off.

First, find an agency. One that you used before or has been recommended to you. Once you find someone you trust, just leave your summer in his or her hands. All you need to do is pay, pack your bags and go see the world. Or at least a corner of the world. It can't be that simple" one may say. Oh, but it can.

This year he is planning on surprising his wife with a trip in Birmingham. He has rented an apartment there several months ago. It is their four year wedding anniversary. And since they got married there he thought it would be a great way to spend the summer and celebrate at the same time and in that same town.

There is also a convenient variant for those with a limited budget: instead of a summer house, you can carry your own tent. This way, you can change the scenery anytime you feel like it. Go online and look for seaside hostels. The sun shines just as bright and the water is just as refreshing as for the ones staying at a five star hotel.

But if you are in the mood for a more eventful holiday, look for concerts or festivals. See the big cities, there is always something going on. Cultural events a re to be seen and sunny people to be met. Rent a flat or go couch surfing, the Internet makes anything possible.

Their honeymoon was unexpectedly populated: everyone who considered that a tent is cozy enough to sleep in came along. And so we traveled from one music festival to another and kept on celebrating their wedding. We would have slept in hostels or would have called on couch surfing also, but it was a surprise trip to us too.

If you are parenting younger spirits, find a place that would move them and inspire you. Family vacation packages are pouring on the Internet. Rent a family house in the country side or an apartment in a historical city. Read about the place and the local attractions, just in case the holiday gets too quiet.
