subject: Few Things To Consider In Hiring A Printing Service Provider [print this page]

Referral system is quite a typical practice among commercial enterprises in the printing industry. This practice is advantageous both to the printing business and to the clients who are regularly preparing printing projects. To the first, referral is a publicity for free. To the latter, referral means skipping the research process in hiring the service of a printing company.

Yet, clients don't always have a reliable source in finding the printing company that is best for their printing needs. If this is the case, clients have to consider certain aspects of the printing process before finally making a hiring decision.

Printing Services - Proven Ways Before Making A Hiring Decision

The first thing that clients need to consider is the specialization of the printing company. Obtaining a clear idea of the company's printing experience helps clients determine if the company can meet their needs. In this step, clients should already have an idea if the company they are eyeing is right for them or not.

If the client has found the printing company compatible with its need, the next thing to do is to ask for sample works. It is necessary for clients to see the professional quality of the company's previous works. Clients should therefore not hesitate in requesting for several printing samples.

Clients can now proceed to the third step, which is asking about the available equipment, if the sample works are indeed of professional quality. Asking however is not enough to determine if the equipment can meet the client's expectation. It thus pays to actually visit the printing house.

Once the first three steps are already met, clients can now turn their attention on estimating the project cost. Hence, clients need to send a copy of the quotation inquiry form to the printing company with detailed specifications.

Or better yet, clients may ask for a quotation request form, fill the checkbox, and then return it to the printing company via fax. Clients have to send their specifications and request for a quotation to two or three printing companies so they can check which of the company provides fair pricing.

Now that the client already has its company choice the next step is to set the printing schedule. Both parties are involved in creating the schedule of printing. Both are also expected to adhere to the agreement, such as submitting the file on time and paying a down payment, to avoid delays.
