They are intelligent dogs who like to be treated well.

One of the smallest hunting dogs, their bodies are small and compact. They come in black, brown, tan and red. These are particularly loyal dogs. They are protective to their families. He or she only problem that he or she have is that he or she tend to be more prone to develop eye diseases.

Cocker Spaniel puppies range in price from $250 to $800 dollars. This adorable breed will probably be a companion for the rest of their lives. If you are within the market to purchase one as a family pet, there are a few tips you have to follow. Check with the breeder to see if they have had all of their shots. Good breeder will have the puppies certified that they are free from defects. Try to observe the temperament of the parents. If he or she react well with other dogs, you should have a good puppy. Try to purchase from a local breeder where you might pick the puppy up. Leaving the mother may be traumatic for puppies. A puppy raised in a family home with children, may be a good match for your family. Final but not least, try not to buy a puppy from a pet store. You will not be able to learn any of his family history or if he is free from defects.

Cocker Spaniel puppies are a good choice for someone looking for a family dog. He or she have a terrific temperament and will love you their entire lives. Oprah loves the breed so much she have over 3 dogs that have visited her talk show often. She call them a part of her family. That is what a cocker spaniel can be, a devoted part of your family.
