The conspiration theories about the Kennedy assassination, the 911 terrorist attacks, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Knights Templar and Illuminatis, the list goes on.
Then theres the Bilderbergs or the Bilderberg Group or Club a gathering by invite only of about 130 personalities from royalty, government, the military, politics, banking and even media who meet under intense secrecy and security every year.
What do they discuss?
The first recorded meeting was organized and held in May of 1954 at the Hotel de Bilderberg of Oosterbeek in Holland, hence, the name: the Bilderbergs. The objective of the first meeting was well known as promoting atlanticsm or the cooperation between the US and Western Europe to stem the perceived anti-Americanism sentiments in Europe at that time.
The cooperation covered almost all the areas of the economy, military and politics and was attended by at least two invited quests and heads of states. Even with the media invited, very little information about the conference agenda had made its way to the public. With succeeding conference held in the same tight-lipped circumstances, it was only a natural for people to imagine some secret nefarious plans being concocted inside closed doors that could have very nasty effects on ever country and peoples on the planet.
It was not surprising that this secrecy would soon be exploited in television such as a 2009 episode of TruTV which tacked the Bilderbergs among the topics in the Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura. The conspiracy around the group centers on the one-world government speculated as being secretly developed starting with the European Union of which the Bilderbergs are closely associated in its early years.
No media or news reporter has ever been invited in its conferences leading the BBC to say that the information void leaves extraordinary conspiracyaround the group that alleges the fate of the world is largely decided by Bilderberg.
The Bilderberger conspiration theory is very well expounded in its site at www.bildergerg.org with references to the approaching Biblical end of times as evidenced the emerging one world government espoused by what the website owners calls a Satanic plot behind the Bilderbergs.
Of course, all this has been denied by no less than the current Chair of the Bilderberg Group, Etienne Davignon, a former Belgian diplomat and EU Commissioner. In a BBC interview with Bill Hayton in 2005, he says that if we were a secret government of the world we should be bloody ashamed of ourselves.
