subject: Celebrate Graduation With A Charm Bracelet [print this page] Kids just grow up so fast and it is hard to believe my niece is already graduating from high school this year. I know she is going to be so successful in her life and has a positive future ahead of her. As she is the only girl in the family, she really already has a lot of stuff and I was a bit lost as to what I could possibly get her. Talking with a co-worker led me to the idea of charm bracelets based on the theme of success, and I immediately knew this was a great idea.
Since really the next part of her life is like another starting point, I decided to use her graduation day as the first event on the bracelet. The rest of the charms would signify how special she was and all the hopes everyone has for her and her success in the future. It is going to be like charm bracelets that tell a story, but this story is yet to unfold.
I do love gold charm bracelets myself, but I know that she is really more of a person that wears silver. Charm bracelets are so different from the simple styles I remember, but I know that finding the right match isn't going to be difficult.
Online I was able to find a cute little starting charm of a graduation certificate. I am going to engrave her name and the date of her graduation on the back. Beside this charm I am going to add another symbol of her graduation, and that is graduation cap.
I have always loved the idea of keys as a symbol of both success and the opening of new doors, so the next charm is going to be an old fashioned skeleton key. This is going to have a little diamond chip on the top, perfect for adding a bit of bling to the charm and the charm bracelet. These different types of charms will look great together plus I will end up with a balanced look.
Working as a vet has been her lifelong goal and ambition and so a few charms of dogs and cats are a must. Since she is also working at a local animal rescue this summer it will be a good match even if she changes career paths. Charm bracelets with disk styles of charms with personal and inspirational messages have always been my idea of a meaningful piece of jewelry. I am going to add several of these along the bracelet, using only her favorite authors and speakers.
I know that charm bracelets are a lifelong treasure and I can continue to add to the charms on her success bracelet as she makes new accomplishments and goals. This is such a good idea and I am really looking forward to giving it to her on graduation day.
