With the help of tutorials and online communities, you can create stunning scrapbook pages in a matter of minutes. If you do not know where to being or just want some instructions to get you started, here is a step by step guide to follow when creating a new scrapbook project.
STEP 1. GETTING STARTED. The first thing you need to do is to open your program. Once you have done that, you will be prompted to create a new scrapbook or open a saved scrapbook. Since you have not created any scrapbooks yet, choose the new scrapbook option. You will be prompted to choose a blank scrapbook or from a variety of premade templates available to you. The choice is yours, but for our purposes here, it is best to choose the blank scrapbook option.
STEP 2. CHOOSE A LAYOUT. Traditionally, scrapbooking pages are 8 inches wide by 8 inches tall. The default page setting for a scrapbooking program is no different. If you want to increase or decrease the size of the page, go to page on the menu toolbar. Select it and scroll down to settings. Click on it. On the screen, click the size tab and change the page size accordingly. In addition to changing the size of the page, you can also change the background. Using the same screen, click on the background tab and change the color of the page accordingly.
STEP 3. START SCRAPBOOKING. Make your page come to life by adding photos, embellishments and text. To add photos, you can go the menu toolbar and select object then photo, or you can simply click the photo icon on the toolbar. Either way you will have access to your photos and you can edit them accordingly. For embellishments, click object then embellishments or click on the embellishment icon. For text, you can use the three text icons or use the object menu and the three text options.
STEP 4. SAVE. Saving is easy with a scrapbooking program. To save your scrapbook, select menu and then save as. You can make changes and save again later by returning to the menu and clicking save. Your other option is to choose the save icon on the toolbar.
