subject: Chicago Mercedes Car Lineup Will Add New Members In 2011 [print this page]

When you think of Mercedes, you definitely think of one of the most globally recognized names on the planet. Every year, Mercedes hits the road with an all new lineup, making little tweaks to keep the cars contemporary and spicy hot. Lately, it seems like Mercedes is really giving Chicago Mercedes drivers something to talk about. On the fuel tech front, Mercedes is forging ahead, striking down luxury contenders as it goes, and really hopping on board the new industry aesthetic. Regardless, there will always be a sense of legend associated with the Mercedes brand, and I'm proud to say that I'm a Mercedes owner myself. But the luxury life hasn't exactly jaded me; sure, I've got my seven cars, my lovely model-hot wife, my four story mansion in the Wicker Park area and a pocketful of dreams. Still, I'm not above heading down to my Chicago used Mercedes dealer and cavorting with the people.

Well, the king of the luxury car is back, and they aren't planning on letting go of their stranglehold on the market-- a fact that Chicago Mercedes drivers realize all too well. MSN.com clarifies for anxious drivers, saying, "Mercedes-Benz isn't about to slow down its parade of new and refreshed models anytime soon. In 2010 the company focused on fuel economy and small SUVs, with vehicles such as the S400 Hybrid and GLK. Next year it will bring a returned focus on driving emotion. The company's Gullwing successor has proved itself worthy of taking the throne, and the new E-Class Wagon proves that having a family doesn't mean giving up on style." For Chicago used Mercedes dealers, this might mean a decrease in sales, as the new cars that the Mercedes line is gearing up to shell out might be overpowering for luxury car enthusiasts looking to buy.

The first of the really spectacular new Mercedes vehicles is the 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, a car that represents one of the first new additions to the E-Class. For Chicago Mercedes drivers, the E-Class Cabriolet represents another step in the brand's legacy. A four seat convertible with comfortable driving at the forefront of its mission, the Cabriolet is a high-performing beast that will really put 2011 in motion for the manufacturer. The insulated power soft-top makes everything much easier to maneuver in lieu of the clunkier hardtop we see in a lot of sports car convertibles, and the cabin remains a quiet and comfortable place to reside while the top is up. The highest ranking contender in the engine choices is the indelible 5.5 liter V8, as it puts out a stellar 382 horsepower. In a few years, we expect the Cabriolet to be a hot seller at your Chicago used Mercedes dealership.

And then, of course, there is the new 2011 SLS AMG, one of the gutsiest models you can find on the road. The AMG uses gull-wing doors to really set it apart from other plainer models on the road in an effort to pay tribute to the lovely 1955 300SL. It gets the job done with a 6.3 liter V8 engine that puts out 563 horsepower.
