subject: The Seasons In Our Lives [print this page] Recently I found myself meditating on a particular song that had left an impression on me a few years ago: "To Everything Turn Turn Turn". As I hummed this tune I took trips down memory lane recalling the different seasons in my life.Either a season is good or bad.
This simple song helped me to realize the kind of attitude adjustment I needed to make to be able to embrace the changing seasons. For example,it is a proven fact that when a new employee adjusts to fellow colleagues in his or her new company, that person will get along much more easily with everyone than if they would have waited for others to approach them.
Similarly, when I find myself in a good season(the kind where everything is going my way),I've learnt to just enjoy the moment I am in.That is not because I dont know how long it is going to last but maybe because I have waited a while for it to happen.I've also learnt that sometimes I can still be carrying that negative energy around that I have allowed myself to develope. So I get careful to adjust my attitude so that I can totally embrace the change around me.
In a bad season I have learnt to enjoy the moment I am in also. Why? Because there is no better time than this that gratitude takes on a whole new meaning and memories become even sweeter.
