My personal experience is driving to one of my favorite interest and that is craft fairs, looking for that unusual creative crafter. When I approached a farm house with the barn,this certainly qualified for total repair. This leaves you with a lasting impression of,sagging roofs,broken windows,stone walls in disarray and tall grass covering the landscape.
I made a promise to myself to return,at some point in time and was happy to have made that decision for the return visit. Because new changes were about to begin with a new owner of the farm and barn to restore it to its original condition.
This was a very unique return for me,because I had the opportunity to talk with the contractor regarding the restoration project.
One of my more important questions was,is the farm house and barn within any historical district ,he assure that all the necessary historical data indicated that it was not.
Fortunately the new owner insisted that,all wood, masonry,structural timbers be as original looking as possible. Also included, is the rebuilding of all walk ways and stone walls surrounding the property.
Well it was time to leave, and as I was walking past his truck,there on the back seat,was a fly fishing rod and reel. Curiosity got the best of me, inquired if he was a true fresh water fly-fishermen,he assured me he was, as well as his wife.
He further stated that, on occasion he would stop off his favorite trout stream before returning home,just to have a little person time for personal reflection with life.
For my personal experience,trout fishing with rod and reel on a fast moving brook is my favorite.
On several occasions I was able to view a passionate fresh water fly-fishermen display his skills .
