subject: The Forex Forum: Whats In It For You? [print this page]

One of the questions that a forex trader probably always asks himself when entering a forex forum is why should I participate? You are perfectly free to wonder around the various threads and topics and to absorb all the information available in the forum without actually contributing a single post. So then what is the motivation for you to actually get involved in the forum discussion?

Well, there are a few reasons. One reason is that if you want answers or second opinions on a specific subject sometimes you might not find the exact information youre looking for. And so, instead of hanging around waiting for others to provide you with this information by chance, you might as well start a new thread and pose your questions directly. The worst that can happen is that you dont get a reply, although forums such as the eToro forex forum have moderators who reply to unanswered posts. Whats likely to happen however is that you will quickly get concrete information, suggestions or opinions from your fellow traders that will add to the knowledge base you use to make your trading decisions.

The main reason to participate however, is that you will be taking part in building a communal trading experience that will enrich the lives of all its participants. Trading platforms like eToro have realized the importance of community and provide traders with community tools such as chats, forums and an entire social trading platform. Once you start sharing your knowledge in the forums you will see that the community has the power to optimize your strategy, to give you immediate tips and signals, and to generally make you feel like youre not trading alone. The last change might seem like an insignificant detail, but its very easy to feel cut off from the rest of the world when youre trading alone at home, and this misapprehension can actually affect your trading decisions in a negative way. So dont be afraid to get involved, it might just pay off in a big way.
