The basic necessity of music is rhythmThe basic necessity of music is rhythm. The beat is the foundation on which you can make any type of music imaginable. Even music without any type of drums has a beat to it, if you can't hear it; you should be able to feel it.

Having a computer program for drums on your computer can not only help you if you are a drummer, but if you play music that needs a drum beat, or if you just want to create beats for fun.

In most music, there is a drummer or some kind of percussionist that provides the beat for which all of the other musicians follow. A good drummer provides a strong consistent beat so that the rest of his band can know exactly where their music fits into the piece as a whole.

If you are a drummer, it is important to know how to play all different styles so that you can lay down a basic beat for every type of music. You need to know the rhythm for rock, samba, bossa- nova, blues, waltz, Dixieland, the list is endless.

It is the responsibility of the drummer to know all of these beats, be able to play them at any given notice, and know what other types of styles fit into them. Learning all of these can be difficult, but it is very helpful if you can listen to what it should sound like.

A drumming program on your computer stores all of those different styles, and all you have to do is click on the style and it will come out of your speakers. You can then take that sound and try to mimic it on your own drum set.

Since there are thousands of rhythms to learn, having all of them available to you on your personal computer at any time is a very useful learning tool. This type of program allows you to learn all of the different styles and implement them in your music, making you better prepared to play any type of music anywhere you go.

If you aren't a drummer, but love music and want to make it, having a personal drummer on your computer can be a useful companion. While you are practicing or playing your music, you can turn on your drum program and have a beat to work with.

This can help you create music for yourself, or practice the music for your band; having a drum beat to practice with allows you to get the right tempo and know how the part you play fits into the rest of the song.

Drum programs may also come with a basic mixing board. This can allow you to lay down a basic beat with the program, and then record the other parts yourself. Many aspiring musicians have to make themselves a one-man-band and play all of the instruments.

Obviously they cannot play everything at once, but they can record themselves playing one instrument at a time. They can record the guitar part and put that on top of a drum beat, see how it sounds, then record a piano part and add it to the mix and then a bass guitar, and whatever other instruments they want to incorporate into the piece.

After recording all of the instruments separately, you can go on the mixing board and combine all of the parts together and listen to it as a song with all of the different recordings working all at once to create a cohesive sound of a band.

This is a great way for musicians to create their own music without the help of several other people to make a band. With this type of computer program, you can essentially make any kind of music you want, however you want to do it, and the best part is that you don't need to hire an expensive music producer to mix your music for you.
