Going out of town is something I like as much as researching on the places on where to go to. I instantly want to get hold of a guidebook once a new place or venue pops into my head. But when it comes to the natty gritty of finding a hotel or homestay, searching for a cooking class or just gauging the opinions of real travellers with no vested interest in selling books, I turn to the Web.

A scenario which I will be undergoing for the next few hours includes a cup of tea, a computer, and a bunch of links with blogs, chat boards and forums. After purchasing my tickets to Madrid and Marrakech for my tip this fall, I went online to search a package for country walks and visits to Berber family homes lead by a Moroccan ecotourism group. At first, the guidebook listings lead me to a traditional Moroccan house in Marrakech and a B&B near Madrid's Plaza Mayor as well as a family owned raid. I booked both directly on their Web sites, but not until I read the reviews posted on a travel website. Helpful websites just come and go which is why I made this list of my most liked sites. Travelers who write reviews in this website tell about hotels and other types of accommodations in 190 countries. It's a good place to crosscheck guidebook recommendations.

Guidebooks which do not include B&Bs and small inns can be temporarily replaced by the web. Also, I like the links to traveler advice forums and to articles about various destinations. Reviews and photos are posted by actual travelers which is why I do not believe that hotels and competitors place either a positive or negative comments on the page.

The reviews of travelers several years ago are still posted in this website. Your judgment should be based on the recent reviews and not the overall ratings. The actual price of the hotel is different although it lists a yearround average price for each hotel. What I receive in my inbox are dozens of emails about lodging deals on the less pricey hotels which used to be top expensive ones.

Travelers write blogs and stories on the Website telling about good places to go to and affordable hotels which in turn encourages independent travelers to have fun, be open minded, and have a thirst for adventure with a willingness to share. The summer travel tips on where to stay, what to wear and how to look cool are seen for your Europe trip are seen on the website. Skip this site if you've never heard of Plodiv, Novi Sad or Tirana. Cities in Eastern and Central Europe as well as the cities stated previously are in your list, you will notice how things change so fast.

This site provides the exact location on where to get a cold beer in Odessa or where to buy a copper coffee set in Sarajevo. Printed guides are sold by the site, but versions of comprehensive online are available in PDF form. Tapping into the local culture as well as dozens of articles about working and volunteering abroad are the contents of this site which continued even if the actual printing stopped for awhile.

Where to get low cost travels, how to be a responsible traveler and family traveling are what these stories contain. These three airline search sites proved to be useful. If tracking airfares and emailing alerts have dropped prices, that's the time you can visit this travel site. When you have already bought the ticket, that's the only time you will know if you're allowed to avail of the credit from the airline.

All you have to do is to provide your preferred dates and destination to the site and it will give you information regarding the lowest fare rates, websites where you can book and the prediction of when fare rates would fall. Prices can be only predicted depending on the routes. Upon visiting this Website, you will know the low cost airlines in getting to foreign cities. Links to discount airlines that serve them will appear on the list of destinations after you have selected the country and the city that you want to go to.
