subject: eBoostr 4 Pro may be the performance boost your computer needs [print this page] Recently I had the opportunity to try out a copy of eBoostr. Initially I was skeptical, a program from the internet that claims to make my PC faster? Sounds like I'm trying to get taken for a ride. I went to the website to check it out and it started to sound a lot more plausible. There's a short video right on the front page giving people a breakdown of what eBoostr is designed to do.
eBoostr is not a cure-all program that transforms your system into a super-computer. Rather, it reduces the recall demands placed on the HDD by caching application data on flash memory. Resource intensive programs are affected the most by eBoostr. For example a lot of programs from the Adobe suite (Photoshop being the most famous) tend to be very resource intensive. On my own system, Photoshop can take upwards of 12 seconds to load. With eBoostr however Photoshop takes less than half of that time.
The difference may sound trivial at first glance, after all what's a couple of seconds? For anyone that is dealing with an overworked or aged computer the difference is more than noticeable. PCs aren't like wine, as they age they become slower and slower. Diligently they continue to perform under ever increasing loads but the fact is these systems can't keep up with the demands we place on them. This is where eBoostr really seems to shine. If photoshop takes twelve seconds to load on a system that's almost two years old we can easily imagine how long those twelve seconds would be on a system that's five years old.
Don't take my word for it though. Trial copies of eBoostr are available costing you only the time it takes to download while you browse the web. For the skeptics benchmarking software is included in eBoostr allowing you to compare load times. If you still think those gains aren't enough, eBoostr allows you to add up to four USB devices to use to create a cache. My favorite part about this is that you can manage your devices on the fly. If you want to add some devices and swap out another you can do so without having to restart the program.
eBoostr is loaded with features, a number of which I've glossed over because I didn't need to use them myself. That said, with only a few minutes of your time at stake it's worthy of some investigation. If you're happy with your current performance it's not likely you'll think the $25 price tag is worth it. But if your computer is starting to feel its age or you use a lot of resource intensive programs, eBoostr was made with you in mind and I recommend you to try the demo.
