Well known in the modern world as a front runner in technology, Baden-Wrttembergs capital Stuttgart has been inhabited since the first century AD. The Cradle of the Automobile as it is fondly referred to by the Germans, is a thriving city by any measure in todays competitive world.

The State Gallery was built in the 1830s to be the Museum of Picture Art. What was once a single building has now blossomed into a building complex for art, history and culture. The original construction known as the Old State Gallery was designed by a native, while the additions were created by British and Swiss nationals. Thus, the architecture is varied and at the same time unique. The wing added by the British architect James Stirling is particularly favoured due to the myriad of colours and infusion of sunlight openings.

The Old State Gallery houses the arts and crafts from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. The New State Gallery features Rubens work alongside Rembrandts and Peter Pauls art from the 20th century. Lucas Cranach a local artists murals are also on display. The highlight of the new gallery is Picassos works of art, which have mesmerized the four corners of the earth. The entire gallery contains sculptures, drawings, engravings and collections of graphics from all over Europe and the Western world. Italian, Dutch, Flemish and American works of art adorn the walls and hallways of the art museum.

Artists, historians, holiday makers and curators from around the world visit the State Gallery every year and are delighted by what is on display. They find the Millennium Hotel and Resort Stuttgart to be equally illustrious, hence it is an alluring Stuttgart hotel, quite like the portrayals and carvings of the gallery. This hotel in Stuttgart effortlessly complements the house of arts in its vicinity, making every visit a thrill.
