subject: Valuable Info About Mlm Leads For Newbie Marketers [print this page]

If you joined a multi-level marketing organization in the recent past, you are undoubtedly very busy drawing up MLM leads lists right now. After all, you can't build your downline if you don't have such a list. For those of you who are new to MLM: MLM leads are simply a list of people that you've identified as interested in MLM and therefore potential team members.

You can buy leads lists off the Internet, or you can build up your own lists. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages. Buying a list means you will save a lot of time. You can immediately start marketing to the members of the list and potentially build up a downline fairly quickly.

To buy such a list unfortunately has a couple of disadvantages too. The biggest danger is that you will buy a list that has been sold to thousands of other network marketers. The people on this list have probably been exploited to an extent that they wish they never had an email address. They are unlikely to join any network marketing opportunity. When you buy a list try to get a guarantee from the seller, therefore, that the list has never been sold to anybody else. Outdated contact information is also a big problem, so try to ensure you buy a list with updated info.

It takes a lot more time to build your own leads list. The big advantage that you have is that you can be sure these people are genuinely interested in network marketing. But how do you draw up such a list? Where do you find the names to put on the list?

Very often novice network marketers start off by approaching everyone in their circle of colleagues, family members and friends. Twenty years ago this was the established way to do things. There is a serious disadvantage to this way of thinking though: these people might simply not wish to embarrass you and therefore fake interest. They might even sign up, but never actively start to recruit new members.

A more fruitful long-term approach is to start a website on the Internet to help network marketers. Get as much information about the industry as possible and share that information with others. This way people will get to know you as an expert on network marketing and also someone who likes to help other people to succeed. Since all these people are already interested in the MLM business opportunity, it's a great way to get MLM leads.
