Wives, mothers, daughters, step-daughters and adopted daughters|female family of Purple Heart recipients are eligible
to belong to the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, which also does important work nationally
and locally in veterans' hospital.

Besides the fact, these people put their life in harms way for our freedom and our lives. One can only imagine the mental impact a war has on a soldier and or their family, especially when wounded. It's hard enough to maintain in today's economy. Add an injury, physical or mental into the equation. Giving back to this people would be a small show of appreciation for all they've given.

given directly to a veteran to drive, or they can be used by the adminstration of the charity for different related needs (like delivering meals to shut-in or taking veterans to the hospital).
