The Southern California rock phenomenon reached all new heights of vaulting popularity after successfully completing a mammoth 60 date schedule on the Parental Advisory tour. While performing with legendary acts Green Jelly and Nashville Pussy, The Fabulous Miss Wendy attracted legions of new followers who were blown away by her scorching guitar solos and sexy flair. The tour also gave her the incredible opportunity to handle lead guitar duties for Green Jelly, a mega group which gave birth to prominent stars such as Maynard James Keenan and Danny Carey from Tool.
Her music continues to spread at an infectious pace, as the wildly popular chain Hot Topic recently used the track "I Like Boys" for their latest clothing campaign. The video, which is generating thousands of hits on YouTube, features her song as the backdrop to a dynamic photo shoot of the store's freshest gear and models.
Girls and Corpses magazine also picked up on her fiery sensibilities, creating a fun, fascinating music video for her original single, "Crazy F*cked Up Bitch." The creatively animated video contains everything from a cartoonish likeness of Miss Wendy to dancing undead corpses using their own limbs as golf clubs. A two and a half minute visual explosion, this is just another awesome twist and turn for Wendy's burgeoning presence in the music scene. TFMW will be forming live in celebration of the video at Girls and Corpses Magazine's "Summer Alien Autopsy issue Signing and Event" at Meltdown Comics, 7255 Sunset BLVD in Los Angeles on Friday August 20th from 7 to 11p.m.
The band's white knuckled, grueling approach to touring continued throughout the summer of 2010, as they continued to support Green Jelly on more dates during the season.
The last show for the summer is scheduled for the Music=Life Rockfest at The National Orange Show Events Center, 689 South E Street in San Bernadino, California. The show is presented by KCAL 96.7 Rocks and Sideshow Productions.
