subject: Golf Chipping Techniques and tips [print this page] Are you having trouble with your chipping? Are you chilly dipping? Or skulling? If you're, then you're in the right place!
Chipping can be very tricky at times, and sometimes out right frustrating. Your short game can make or break you.You can turn a good round into a bad round, or it can turn a bad round into a good round. What I mean by that is, you can be hitting the ball well, but your chipping is what is making your round not so good. Or you can be hitting the ball bad but your chipping is saving you.
When I first started playing Golf, I focused on distance and just wanted to out drive my buddies. But that never got me anywhere. My chipping was destroying me, and so was my putting for that matter. Your short game is the most important part of your game. I was given some great tips for my chipping, especially for my skulling the ball, and chilly dipping.
Truthfully, chipping isn't that difficult with the right techniques.
If you're chilly dipping or skulling the ball, what seems to be the problem? Well when I went through those experiences, I figured that I was flipping my wrists. So by flipping your wrists, you'll skull, chilly dip, or pull the ball to the left.
So to fix that, just push the club back with your shoulders and lead the handle through impact and keeping the wrists firm, so you can create a nice solid chip shot.
