Credit Cards are gaining grounds in India. There are number of banks in India who are distributing credits cards to people for free*!
I too have citibank credit card, and its still at its best. I have applied for an credit card in citi bank & they showed me 27 different cards, from master card to visa cards, gold, silver & platinum, etc. including many affinity cards such as Citibank Indian-Oil card, First Citizen card, and Maruti Suzuki Auto Card, and Cash return card.
There was an "Women's Visa Mini Card" which offers discount on home improvement products.
I am using citi cash return card, I like this card because, I usually get 1% cash back on every purchase, and gets 20% bonus on cash back earned on every purchase. There is no annual fee as well.
There is no limit or expiration on the amount of cash back I earn, APR is as low as a variable 8.24% on the purchase.
The family benefits that I have avail through citi bank card are health insurance for your family, overseas mediclaim, personal insurance (Suraksha) and Credit Shield service.
