Sugar is used to feed the yeast. This produces the alcohol which is the main reason people drink it so this is a very important part.

Acid is used to ferment the yeast and the sugar. You will need to make sure you have the right level of acids to get a better quality wine. Even though your are making home made wine, if you are going to be drinking it and sharing it with others, you want a good quality wine to be able to enjoy it.

Tannin improves the taste of your wine. This is an important part because taste is what most people think of when they take their first sip of a glass of wine.

Above are the basic ingredients. You can find these ingredients in many places. You can also order the ingredients online. As long as you have fruit, yeast, sugar, acid, and tannin, you are good to start the homemade wine waking process. You will need all of these ingredients to start your wine.
