Candle making has become a very popular hobby by many people. This is a fun way to make something that everyone loves. They can be used in your own home, or given as gifts to your friends or family. Here is a basic candle making supply list for you to use as a guide when making candles.

Wax

You will need either beeswax or paraffin wax to make your candles. This can be found in almost any arts and crafts store or can be ordered online. The wax will need to be melted to start the process.

You can even add color to your wax, this gives your candles an attractive twist. You can purchase any color you want, you can also mix colors to come with a new creative color for your candles, this can be done by adding basic dye to the wax.

You can also add scent your wax. You can use any type of scent you want. The most popular scent being vanilla, this is a very good odor eliminator. You will want to make sure your candle has enough scent that you can smell it while it's burning but not to much where it will be overbearing. The right mixture is about one ounce of scent for each pound of wax used.

Wick

You can also find wicks in any arts and crafts store. You can find them in different sizes and sometimes colors. The amount of wicks you will need depends on the amount of candles you will be making. These are very inexpensive to purchase.

Candle Holder

You can purchase beautiful candles holders for your candles. They come in many different colors and styles. You can get class holders for jar type candles or stick candles holders if you choose to go that route. You can find these in almost any department store or arts and crafts store.
