Are You A Social Person?
If you have a tough time meeting people and making friends, you may want to stick with a job that has you leaving the house now and then. You don't realize how important contact with other people is until you don't have it. If you want to work from home, you'd better make sure you put aside a couple days a week to go out and spend some of that money hanging out with your friends. Otherwise, you may find that you're becoming more and more isolated and, yes, you're making money, but you're really not enjoying yourself without having anyone to hang out with.
Are You a Single Mom or a Single Dad?
If you have kids and no spouse, it may simply be best to forget the rest of this checklist and grab the first opportunity you have to work at home. Your kids need you. What's more, the money you spend for babysitters or day care, you may as well not be working at all, considering that, for most working parents, something like seventy percent of that goes to hiring someone else to watch the kids, so what's the point? So you can't make your hours and you can't meet your own friends. Okay then, learn. It'll be worth it. Anyways, the thing about having kids is that whatever you need to do to get things taken care of, you do. Having children seems to be capable of changing us in that way.
