subject: Princess Bear-a Popular Member Of The Ty Beanie Babies [print this page]

The TY Beanie Babies were favorite figures of the late 19th centuary. These cushy, pliant and pellet-filled soft toys were first introduced around 1993. They composed an unequalled tale of success in the toy markets and shortly became the treasured choices of both children and grown ups. These lovable animal pals are filled with polyurethane beans that made them perfectly fluffy and firm.

In the following paragraphs, I shall discuss some details of these stuffed toys.

Historical past:

These TY Beanie Babies were created by the TY Firm. These fun products were fashioned by H. T Warner who was qualified at creating stuffed creatures. Primarily, the pet collection that was initially made had 9 animal friends. They were named as: Spot the Dog, Chocolate the Moose, Flash the Dolphin, Squealer the Pig, Cubbie the Bear, Patti the Platypus, Legs the Frog, Splash the Whale and Pinchers the Lobster.

The Princess Bear Series:

The Princess Bear was obviously a popular member of the Ty Beanie Babies. It had been devised for the Cubbie Bear Collection. It was influenced by the renowned Princess Diana, actually it was among the list of things that were permitted by the Princess Diana Memorial Fund. The creature earned immense earnings for the firm. A heavy sum of approximately $2,004,850 was acquired in the years 1997 and 1998. This wealth was given to the Lady Dianas memorial fund.

This princess bear was colored in royal blue and purple colors. It had a purple shaded collar bow and a pastel rose pinned on the left part of the chest. The birthday of this trendy animal was unrecorded. This memorial bear was introduced on October 29, 1997. Nevertheless, soon its production came to a close in April 1993.

Heart-shaped "Swing Tags" were connected to the ear of the Ty Beanie babies. This distinct characteristic distinguished it from the different replicated versions. The authentic princess bear was tagged with a fourth generation label.

After some time, some other corrections were made to this swing tag. These modifications included, eliminating the golden trimmings around the letters, decreasing the size of Ty from the badge of the model and a key phrase "Beanie Original Baby" was used with the bear.

One more tag referred to as the Tush Tag was positioned at the underside of the bear. It had the name of the manufacturing plant where this original piece was developed. Moreover, the content label also included various other details such as the date of manufacturing and the elements used as filling.

Filling:

The TY Beanie Babies included 2 kinds of fillings. In a similar fashion, the princess bears were filled with PVC and PE pellets. These artificial beans impart pliability and flexible to the animals. As a result, the beanies were flexible enough to be shaped into sitting or posing forms.

The Official Princess Poem:

The Princess baby was inscribed with the following poem-

Like an angel, she came

from heaven above.

She shared her compassion,

her pain, her love.

She only stayed with us long

enough to teach,

the world to share,

to give, to reach.

Such special characteristics were the reason behind the enormous success and popularity of the Princess Bear. It's no surprise that, this lovable and cuddly animal was the best among the other Ty Beanie Babies!
