subject: Selling Halloween Wigs For Profit [print this page]

If you love Halloween, like so many do, you can find how to make Halloween costume and sell it for the holiday. With proper marketing, you will find a treasure along with your pirate costumes.

There are many themes to choose from for a Halloween costume. You can choose to make witch costumes, which will consist of usually a black dress and pointed hat. But they can also be colorful. You might add to the look with old fashioned shoes, a broomstick, and a wart on the nose. The rest is makeup. A vampire will be in all black, perhaps a satin black cape will top off the costume. And the makeup will make the person look dead and there will be some blood on the neck and maybe the mouth.

Other costumes may require the skill of good sewing. If a costume is one piece and covering the entire body, or made of a special material, a sewing machine and good skills will be required to make one good enough to sell.

If you are skilled at modeling clay, you might try your hand at molding the kind of makeup that looks like the skin is rotting off a face, or maybe make scars. These are popular at Halloween, also, especially for zombie costumes. To top off that costume, just add tattered clothing and a little bit of fake blood.

The thing to remember is that Halloween is supposed to be fun. Some people do not like to portray scary beings, but would rather be funny, like a clown. Clown costumes are pretty easy to make, as almost any pair of really baggy pants would be appropriate. You might put together a colorful, baggy shirt to add to the look. A crazy wig and big shoes that you can buy would top it off just perfectly. And as for props, a loud horn or a whoopee cushion will add to the comedy.

Since making Halloween costumes usually end up to be one of a kind masterpieces, there is no need to promise the same exact thing, if you are selling them. In fact, the variety is all part of the fun of it.

Some items you can find in dollar stores or online, so that you can offer your creations at a fraction of the price that people would need to pay at a Halloween shop. This will also make people interested in your Halloween costumes for sale.

For an added bonus, you might want to add some candy or a trick or treat carrier to the costume. Maybe it could even be part of the theme. There are many ways to choose how to make Halloween costume and sell it.
