Do you have a special occasion coming up? Are you thinking of planning a party to mark it? Here are five occasions when a party could be exactly what you want.

1) Cocktail Party - If you're planning a special night out with the girls, then why not give yourselves the Sex in the City treatment at a bar that specialises in mixing fabulous cocktails. Maybe you're organising a hen party and want to give one of your friends a special night to remember.

2) Stag Party - If it's a lad's night that you're planning, then you may want to spend the evening at a lively venue that can accommodate everyone. It can be tricky to find somewhere that let's everyone from your party in, so see what you can find.

3) Surprise Party - If you're planning a party for someone's birthday or anniversary, then you'll want a great venue that's suited to them and their friends.

4) Office Christmas Party - The office Christmas party is traditionally good fun, but it can be a difficult thing to plan. Getting the right venue that is suitable for the number of people who will attend, as well as the right atmosphere means a lot of hard work for someone in your team. If that person's you, then do your homework, visit a few venues and talk to colleagues to make sure it's right.

5) Reunion Party - If you're looking to reconnect with old friends or distant relatives, hosting a party is an excellent idea. Somewhere that has good service, plenty of bar staff and room for a dance could all be worth considering when booking up.

So, if you're thinking about planning a party, be it a Cocktail Party, Stag Party or any other special occasion, why not starting thinking about the type of place you'll need?
