Reiki training is the process where a highly experienced Reiki master trains other potential practitioners in this art of palm healing. It must be noted that Reiki training does not take place in the normal classroom approach, rather the abilities are transferred from the master to the recipients through the former's palms similar to a healing process.
Since Reiki training involves the Reiki master transferring the ability of tuning into to the universal life force energy, directing and channelizing the same through one's palms to another's body parts, this ceremonial process is popularly known as the Reiki attunement process.
Reiki training or attunement process is undertaken in three degrees or levels. In the first degree, the recipient is trained on how to access the universal energy and basic hand positions for bringing on relaxation and healing. In the second level, the recipient learns various Reiki symbols which empowers the palm healing process and thus is able to heal people over time and space.
In the concluding level, the trainee's become Reiki Masters; they become proficient at this ancient art. They know about more advanced Reiki symbols and gain control over some. At this point in time, they become experts and are now capable of transferring the knowledge they have acquired through Reiki training for others.
The ceremonial process of Reiki training is divided into two parts where in the first half the Reiki master stands at the back of the recipient while in the second half he comes to the front. Thus, at first, the Reiki master stands at the back putting up his left palm in order to access the divine energy, and draws Reiki symbols on the crown of the head region of the recipient intensely concentrating and meditating all the while.
In the second half of this procedure, The Reiki Master comes to the front of the Student. This time he concentrates over the 3rd eye region and the recipient's palms drawing symbols over these areas along with stroking, tapping and chanting continuously. Yet again, he draws great powerful and advanced Reiki symbols over the Student's palms, deeply focusing and meditating all the time.
The Reiki Training completes when the Master draws the ''Master Violet' symbol in his own left palm and taps and strokes to transfers it to the Students right palm. He repeats the process of imagining the 'Master Violet', this time in his right palm and then transfers the symbol onto the Student's left palm. Next he visualizes the 'Master Violet' symbol in between the palms of the Student and brings them together gradually giving the palms back to him. Hereafter, the Master bows to the recipient, hereby respecting him for the new capabilities he has received and for who he is, now.
