With the help of the human Lord Perenolde of Alterac, they got easy access to Caer Darrow and Lordaeron. However, Gul'dan backstabbed Orgrim and took one third of the army for his own purposes, which costed the Horde the war. Thrall, an orc raised by humans as a gladiator then rose and rallied the free orcs into the new Horde, and proceeded by releasing all the orcs in internment camps.
