The star that proclaimed "I'm not that innocent" in one of her number one billboard toppers really went out of her way to prove this to the public. Sometimes, musicians will use their music as a form of therapy to say what they want and be whoever they want to be on stage and then come back down to earth after the show. Then again, there are those stars that need therapy because of their music.

Britney Spears is the poster-child for young success that has gone up and down in her personal life. Her upbringing within the world of Disney looked like an innocent, promising way to begin. Justin Timberlake was on her left, Christina Aguilera to her right and that bond of friendship would only end up nothing more than the butt of celebrity blogger's jokes. Britney's life post-Justin, is where it all began to crumble. She dated the music master throughout her teens giving him her virginity and her sanity, but she needed more. She strayed from the relationship and this resulted in a number of number one hit songs battling back and forth between the two.

Britney decided the best way to get over her ex, was to get married in Vegas and so she did. She married her childhood best friend after spending the night in a trance that only Vegas can put you in, and annulled the marriage within 48 hours. Within the same year she decided to marry her back up dancer, Kevin "K-Fed" Federline. Before their marriage could occur, he needed to start & finalize his divorce to his eight-month pregnant wife, Shar Jackson. The media just adored this sticky situation and people began to realize that something wasn't right. Britney went on to marry K-Fed, had two little boys with him and they also produced the reality TV show "Chaotic." Their show was merely a documentation of their drug-use and eating habits and had a very low following. The show was canceled after one season, along with their marriage.

After Britney's second divorce before the age of thirty, Britney's alleged drug concoctions sent her into a frenzy. The falling star was caught on camera shaving her head, Demi-Moore-style in G.I. Jane, at a hair boutique in New York City. Afterwards, she sported highlighted pink, blue, and yellow wigs. She was also videotaped pounding on a paparazzi's car with an umbrella backed with rage. Despite her hatred for the paparazzi, her next boyfriend in line was one of the paparazzi men who had been following her, Adnan. Their relationship was short and sweet, not to mention plastered on every page of US Weekly and In Touch magazines. After their breakup Britney's family a wholesome bunch, stepped in to try and save their daughter.

Once the Spears family took over her finances and her relations with her two sons, Britney's life started to put itself back together. Her mother actually published a book to tell the story of her daughter's dark downfall and talk about how she rose above it. Britney was busy planning her comeback which, after hours of airbrushing, turned out to be somewhat successful. Britney now has her hands back on her life and success is encouraged and expected by her fans.
