subject: The Treachery of the Perverse [print this page] Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.(Proverbs 1:20-23)
As the Proverbs tells us ,Wisdom is crying out in the public concourse. However it is only accessible to those who have ears to hear.Although the application of this verse includes the public call of evangelism and Scripture it is not limited to these two. The Wisdom of God is also calling out to us in current events that through our media become common knowledge.
Three disturbing News items , two of them recent and one that goes back a few years , are connected in a way , that I believe calls for the attention of "Him who has ears to Hear".
* The Wikileaks scandal; that is the leaking of 200,000 plus pages of sensitive ,confidential documents relating to our war in Afghanistan. Already there are Afghans who took the noble and risky risk of trusting the US enough to help us in the war, who have been slaughtered because of the release of their names.
This is not to mention the fact that the leaks represent a betrayal of all of our young ,volunteer warriors who have put themselves in harm's way to go to Afghanistan to give the Afghan people a chance to have a better life.
The under reported aspect of this sad betrayal is that it was an active , flamboyant Homosexual soldier who is the prime suspect in custody for the leaks this from the August 1, Cliff Kincaid Canada Free Press story ,
"In another bizarre twist, reliable reports suggest that Private First Class Bradley Manning, the U.S. Army Intelligence analyst accused of leaking the classified information to theWikiLeaks.org website, was not only a homosexual but was considering a sex change. Manning was arrested at the end of May and is being detained by U.S. authorities.
The Telegraph features photographs of Manning, who could face more than 50 years in prison for treasonous conduct, holding up a sign with rainbow colors demanding "equality on the battlefield" and participating in a gay pride parade.'
* Another recent story is the "coming out" of former Bush Campaign manager and advisor, Ken Mehlman. At the time Mehlman was head of the RNC(Republican National Comittee) the party was championing traditional values, including the Defense of Marriage Act. But Mehlman laments that "He didn't do enough to rein in anti gay initiatives", in an August 28, 2010 Charlotte Observer editorial,Ken Mehlman's Surprising Revelation, by Taylor Batten,
"As head of the RNC, Mehlman helped the Republican Party capitalize politically on anti-gay initiatives, including the Bush administration's push for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Had he been open with his sexuality, Mehlman admits, he could have done more to rein in that anti-gay agenda. But he just wasn't there yet,
Could have done more? He shoudn't have done any! If He had any integrity at all he would have removed himself from such a position, when he had such a conflict of interest.
* Finally there is the ongoing Ted Haggard saga. I have a lot of sympathy for any who struggle with temptation and secret sin, we should all be able to relate to that. I pray that Haggard gets his life together.
But it was bad enough that Haggard had these twin problems of drug and homosexual craving, and yet stayed on a pastor of an evangelical church, thus betraying the church itself.
But Haggard went further, knowing he had these problems,He was ambitious enough to take the headship of the National Association of Evangelicals, all the while knowing he had these struggles. The NAE was at the tie one of the most outspoken voices seeking to stop the Homosexual Agenda.
Even being exposed in his sin wasn't enough to sate Haggard's appetite for attention. He won't remove himself from the public eye, as he is a frequent guest on Oprah, Larry King, and others who parade him out to balance' the voice of any evangelical who does happen to speak out against evil on those venues.
IF Ted Haggard had really repented in the biblical sense, we would probably never see him in public media again. But his need for attention overpowers any love for the church and her respectability. The latest is that now Haggard is publicly announcing that he is startinganother church!
What is Wisdom saying in all of this, to those who have ears to hear? I hear wisdom cautioning us in this time of the mainstreaming and widespread acceptance of homosexuality, that such perversion is treacherous!
Homosexuality (I refuse to call it gay- homosexuals are actually quite miserable people), is a deep betrayal as it is, there is no loyalty in it other than to self. Homosexuals betray society because they seek for their own reasons to destroy the fundamental building block of society, the family.
They betray children, because they use them as "props" in their "Civil Rights" propaganda campaign, when anyone with a lick of common sense knows that a child needs to be reared in as healthy and normal an environment as possible to be mentally stable. But the life of a child is just a means to an end for Homosexuals.
I have issues with the Catholic church, and in no way want to endorse them, but having said that, it is true that homosexuals deliberately infiltrated Catholic seminaries in the sixties, that they might position themselves to destroy it from within.
Paul warned that one of the danger of the last days would be that men would be "Lovers of themselves" and "Lovers of Pleasure more than Lovers of God", and as a consequence, they would become "traitors, heady, and high minded".
The promotion of Homosexuality is one of the sins that will bring the Judgment of God upon America. I am sure because of this, there will be many, many more treacheries, betrayals and costly sellouts costing countless lives, billions of dollars and national credibility and honor.
As Wisdom herself says, in Proverbs 8,"All those who hate me love death!"
