More and more men from developed countries are finding their brides in the developing world. Men from USA, UK, Australia, Germany, Singapore, and South Korea are looking for women outside their country, especially women who are less educated. These men perceive such women to be more domesticated. According to Morgan Capital & Research, social changes research report which is available for several governments, it highlighted that the level of education in women is correlated to men looking for less educated women in less developed countries. Singapore has the highest correlation due to easy availability of Southeast Asian women and Singapore happens to be operating the Asian brides market for USA and Europe.

1.When Women are more educated and Westernized, their behaviour will deviate from just being a simple home keeper type of behaviour to a more sophiscated type of behaviour which lower educated men will not be able to accept. These educated women similarly cannot accept less sophiscated and lower income earning men.
2.More than 70% of the men in these developed countries prefer their wives to listen to them which modern opinionated women are unlikely to offer and this result in tension and quarrels in the family which often further result in divorces.
3.There has been a sudden increase in number of highly educated man pursuing such women from less developed countries because they feel they can better cope and better please these women and thereby have a happier family. They all said that they hope for a lower risk in divorce.
4.Educated women with informed choices tend to exercise a little bit more control over their husbands or boyfriend and such behaviour alter the traditional constructions of gender roles within the family. In some family in USA and Europe, women are the head of the family. And most men when surveyed find it very depressing to be controlled by their women.
