subject: Ways To Know When Summer Ends [print this page]

We don't have a specific answer to know when the last day of summer is. The earth constantly rotates and the seasons change in different months of the year all over the world. We can only answer this question if we consider other several factors.

1. The first way to answer the question, when is the last day of summer is to know that countries in the world have different summer times. In America the summertime usually starts on the last week of May. It lasts until the Labor Day which happens on September. The date for the summertime in the United States cannot be fixed because the fall season can also start on the Labor Day.

2. The second way to answer the question, when is the last day of summer is to review the traditions of the old folks. Most of our ancestors believe in the equinox and solstice. These situations tell us that we are experiencing the middle part of the summer and that the weeks that will follow will be the remaining weeks for summer.

3. The third way to answer the question when is the last day of summer is asking the students when their school will be closing for the summer vacation. There is no exact date for this event as well.

4. The fourth way to answer the question when is the last day of summer in other countries is by knowing their traditions. In China the summertime ends exactly every sixth of August. This was a date that was selected because they had examined the solstice occurrence. It also has something to do with their astronomical analysis. There are some countries in Europe which also end their summer season on an exact date.

5. The fifth way to answer the question when is the last day of summer is by studying astronomy. Many astronomers believe that summer's final day is actually based on earth's rotation. This means that the end of summer is in the final days of August.

In other countries in Asia, summer begins in March and ends in May. The hottest months are March and April. Then in the last weeks of May, the rainy season begins. For many Americans, summer ends when the fall season comes. A century ago they would notice fall coming because it would be time to harvest plants and crops. In most Asian countries it is denoted by the onset of rains.
