The Aspire One is a crisp 721, 1366 by-768 color display of 11.6 inches, which is large enough to comfortably watch the videos without having to be too close to the screen. The 721 is also equipped with 2 GB of DDR3 memory and, in addition to the CPU to the Neo with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4225 GPU. The one (small) gotcha with the 721 is the hard disk. The unit comes with 250 GB of our tester is a version of ATA 721-3574. Not many ATA SSD - a small portable netbook performance favorite major upgrade - are there, hot rodders care.

What's Aspire One 721 performs: WorldBench 6 score of 52 off the usual crappy Netbook range, but gives only a mediocre laptop. Subjectively, the machine seems fine except when you load multiple applications and then feels lag. Thanks for HD 4225, 721 frame rates in games are actually faster than two or TimelineX 1830T, but it is a Pyrrhic victory - 19 frames per second in Unreal Tournament 3 is still unplayable. Video, on the other hand, is smooth in almost all cases, the 1830T - perfectly watchable. Slight stutter during accelerated ships interesting 1080 video was the only (and just) significant

Admission is strong ergonomics Aspire One 721 - is only as good as a mild type. The biggest problem is not the whole keyboard, or the atmosphere, which is fine, but its investment. Slightly embedded in the platform, sometimes you can hit the edge of the main deck, when the thumb and space. Even a relatively steep front lip cut the deck hands for long typing sessions.

Lack of front cover also fits the size and use is embedded in the touchpad. Take more shots than normal to move the cursor up and down the screen. It's not often that Acer chose style over substance, but the company has 721 cases.

Weighing just over three pounds, the Aspire One 721 is not the lightest laptop of its size, we have seen, and one of the reasons why there is a six-cell, 4400 mAh acer laptop battery, which maintains the power of the CPU for about 4.5 hours. It is two hours shy of TimelineX 1830T with its six-cell battery 5800-mAh battery, but still pretty decent.

Aspire One 721 is not room for an optical drive, but the port range is certainly enough: the same three USB 2.0, one HDMI, a VGA port Gigabit LAN, and a 5-in-1 memory card reader. N-Wi-Fi is on board, but the Aspire One lacks TimelineX 1830T 721 Bluetooth. Model comes preloaded with Windows 7 to 64-bit Home Premium and useful applications such as Cyberlink PowerDVD DVD-9. It clear that separate USB drive or play DVD movies on disc.

Aspire One 721 is a reasonably cheap ultra-portable, although it does yield fair. Thought of the device as a high-end netbook that highlights much better. We do not like the ergonomics of input, but they are much less intrusive in a computer of $ 400 to $ 700 in one.
