subject: Hit The Driver For More Miles [print this page]

This article will provide some useful tips to all golfers to hit the ball 300+ YORK.

Really there is no rocket science in this method , but there is some difference between the irons and the drivers.

The first is going to be the ball placement. Since the ball is off the ground, we dont have the luxury of trapping it. That is why drivers are 45 inches long and long drive guys have 52 inches long and hence all the triple full force can do all the full force for us. So the difference is the weight distribution. With the iron or anything on the ground, we stay left and start left and all that but with the driver we want to start right and stay right through out the entire motion.

If you have endorsed the same, the difference is going to be the amount of rotation you use with your body and take away. Always use the lower and upper body with your hinge used to rotate as far as behind the ball as possible. That will give us a large arc and a wide arc on a take away. Again we are not going to have the luxury of pinching the ball. We need the maximum amount of club hp.

So with the ball in front of the breast bone (remember the bottom of the swing is the breast bone), we have to make sure that we do not risk ourselves on hitting down on it. So with the ball left in the stands and load 60% of your weight on your right side and as you take the club away with the same hinge work, rotate the body a little bit more.

Now transfer maybe 60-70% of your weight to your right foot. Now the difference is with the iron .We rotate the club forward and with the driver we dont rotate until the impact. So you should be able to hit the club in the middle part, i.e. the sweet part. Make sure to avoid lateral movement to front or back.

Remember for an iron if you lose your balance you fall forward, but with a driver if you lose you balance you fall backward.
