subject: Golf Grip Coaching [print this page]

Have you ever felt that even after all the hard golf training exercise and classes that you have undergone, you have still not been able to hit the ball in the intended areas? Then it is high time that you understand that the problem that you are facing is the grip.

This article will definitely help you to understand and learn more about the importance of the grip of your golf club. A major mistake committed by most golfers is that they put their left hand or right hand through their palm. This leads to a very weak grip which makes these people most often to slice the ball.

So what Id like to point out is that it is better to rest the club through the fingers rather than in between your fingers. What this does is that it allows the heel part of your hand to sit on top of your thumb. The thumb goes slightly down the right side and thus allowing a nice area for the right hand to come in and cover up the thumb.

The nice thing about you right thumb is that if you squeeze your right thumb and you pin gee , you will find a nice little area that will perfectly fit your thumb of your left hand. Do not bring the right hand from underneath but always bring it from the side and put it on the thumb. This should be an ideal grip for most amateur golfers.

The rest of the grip is mostly up to the golfer. They could either overlap their fingers or interlock the fingers .It is absolutely fine as long as the fingers are touching.
